Bringing Together BU Student Orgs

Recently, several campus organizations came together for a lively and welcoming event. Groups like the Black Student Union (BSU), Bucknell African Caribbean Student Association (BACSA), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and the Society for Minorities in the Physical Sciences (SMNA- MAPS) hosted a gathering that offered a chance for students to connect and decompress after the whirlwind of the first few weeks of the semester.

The event provided a relaxed environment for students to mingle, catch up, and enjoy a meal together. It was more than just a social gathering—it was a moment to foster a sense of community and belonging among students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.

The advisors for each organization were present to introduce themselves and highlight the support and resources available through their groups. They shared insights into the opportunities students can expect from joining, from academic support and networking to cultural events and professional development.

It was a wonderful afternoon of connection and camaraderie, reminding everyone of the importance of coming together as a community to support one another throughout the academic journey.
