This Wednesday, the Griot hosted their annual lunch event welcoming new faculty and staff. Each year, the lunch purposes to bring Bucknell University staff and Griot staff and interns together to build connections and discuss programming for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The Griot’s theme for the year is “Pan-Africanism: Global Freedom Movements and Unrealized Promises”.
Events this year will focus largely on liberation movements across the diaspora. This month, we look forward to welcoming Howard French to discuss his latest work, The Second Emancipation: Nkrumah, Pan-Africanism, and Global Blackness at High Tide”. Join us on Wednesday, September 30 at 4:30 pm for a conversation with French.
