In Collaboration with Phi Lambda Theta Chapter of Chi Phi Fraternity Incorporated Jan. 2026

Devin T. Dobson, M. Education

Last Thursday, January 6th, 2026, I had the opportunity to attend this critical event in which I was able to expand my knowledge on topics like Business and Success. Working hand in hand with the Phi Lambda Theta Phi Bucknell University Chapter of Chi Phi Fraternity Inc., Devin T. Dobson, M.Ed, a renowned educator, inspirational speaker, and author, facilitated a conversation where students learned of Dobson’s experiences as a beginner in fields like finance, business, and office management.

When listening to the lecture, we were asked, “What is your ‘why’ or ‘purpose’ for success?” This question particularly is significant as often the effort we put into our work lies within our goal and what we wish to achieve in our individual lives. Greater thinking leads to productive goals that may lead to new opportunities of success for our future.

Devin T. Dobson, M.Ed., gives a lecture on the value of the business mindset. Jan 22, 2026.

Mr. Dobson advised finding mentors and community in order to leverage your networks, through social media as well as in person. He also recommending trademarking yourself and learning a breadth of skills to ensure you are valuable to whichever career path you pursue. These tips are essential to analytical reasoning but such advice is not accessible to all individuals. In my opinion, experiences like these should be mandatory for all because of the many perspectives they offer that can support one’s research, thesis, or other academia.

In conclusion, in the words of Martin Luther King Jr., “If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl. But by all means, keep moving.” I emphasize the final words because they symbolize a driving perseverance we all need to embody. I thank Mr. Dobson for giving us such an insightful lecture and hope everyone enjoyed my blog. Keep dreaming and stay warm!
